Angela Helliwell

Angela has more than a decade of experience in corporate and securities law, supporting public companies on a wide range of matters, including continuous disclosure obligations, securities regulatory and stock exchange compliance, public and exempt financings, and complex corporate transactions.

Working closely with the firm’s lawyers, Angela plays an integral role in complex transactions and ongoing corporate governance and compliance matters. Her experience includes assisting with prospectus offerings, private placements, reverse takeovers, qualifying transactions, and securities regulatory and stock exchange filings for issuers listed on the TSX, TSX Venture Exchange and Canadian Securities Exchange.

Angela also supports private companies with incorporations, corporate reorganizations, governance matters, and ongoing corporate maintenance.

She is recognized for her attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to manage complex, time-sensitive matters, and is a trusted member of the firm’s corporate team. Her calm, collaborative approach and commitment to excellence allow her to support lawyers and clients effectively at every stage of a transaction.

Education:

Angela graduated from Durham College’s Legal Administration/Law Clerk program in 2009. She later completed the Corporate Law Associate (2012) and Securities Law Fellowship (2013) courses through The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
